Problem statement: Let's say you take a Rubik's cube and paint it. How many cubes would be painted. How many of the little sides faces would be painted and how many would have 2,3,4 and so on sides painted.The dimensions of the rubix cube is 5 X 5 X 5.
Process: So what I first thought was to to cout all of the corners( there were 8) becue the corner has 3 colors on it. The connecting sides have 2 colors on them (there are 12 on each side) and multiply that by 6 because 6 side witch equals 72 and then there are 9 on the face with 1 color. Mu[ltiply that by 6 witch equals 54 and add all of them up.

Reflection: I got 134 cubes in all. But there are 8 cubes that have 3 colors on them and then there are 36 that have 2 colors and 54 that have. So what I did is I counted 2 up on one side and then multiplied that by 6 for each side. On the sides that have 2 you would half to count them up and then have to divide by 2 which is 72 divided by 2 is 36.
Extension question: how could you do this with a 8X8 Rubik's cube?

POL Reflection
Freshman POL reflection
I finished my POL (Presentation of learning) I had a lot of fun presenting even though I don't remember most of it. Our POL is a presentation we do at the end of every semester at animas so we desuse our strengths and weaknesses and a smart goal on how we are going to grow in our weakness. Something that worked well for me is having everything I needed there and ready to use. So im not running around trying to hand out stuff or making getting lost in my presentation. Something that didn't work well for me is the use note cards because I relied on them too much. I would just read off of them. In my practice I would read straight off of my cards. Until my brother told me to put the cards behind my back and only look at certain words. My smart goal is to work on using specific and visually appealing evidence in both my writing and my visual aids. I am going to meet with Steven once a week in PA to discuss how I am doing with that. I really like how instead of taking a test we do a presentation I really think this is a good idea because you will need to know how to publicly speak in everyday life and for some people test taking is very hard for them and when in life will you need to take a test
