Year End Reflection
To be honest I have never enjoyed math or was ever able to comprehend it. But this year though being rough it has made me a better osprey and a better mathematician. One of the ways that I have grown is my advocacy. Over the course of the year I have worked hard to make this my main improvement. At the beginning of the year when I got frustrated I would start to goof off and talk with my friends leading all of us off task. Over the course of the year I realized that if I asked for help our teacher would help me to get my work done and not distract my peers.
The other area of growth that I worked on this year was paying closer attention. At the beginning of the year the littlest things could distract me. This meant that I would not know what I was doing and then I would distract my friends and then meaning that none of us would get our work done. Over time I realized this was one of the reasons I did not understand what we were learning. This helped me recognize that the key to my success in math is trying to ignore my friends and then try to focus. This is an amazing skill I can use, being able to block out people but also things that are distracting in my life and that is something I will take with me for the rest of my life
