Below: the most life changing book I have ever read |
This is the first book we read in humanities and I really enjoyed it
Mask Project
In this 12 week assignment there were several assignments we did that helped us prepare for the mask projects the biggest one we did was the cycle of socialization. It was a college level reading assignment that was very hard to comprehend. Another assignment we did is watched a movie on feral children. That's right feral children. It was a documentary on how children were abandoned and raised with dogs, or spent a life in seclusion. It went on about the nature vs nurture debate. The last one I am going to talk about is the movie Mean Girls. We watched this movie and discussed how there was socialization in it. Like how you can change when the people you are with change.
I have really enjoyed this project but it has stretched my limits. The main area that has lead to the growth of my essay. I have never been a very good or strong writer. This is the longest essay I have ever written. I have never worked so hard on a piece of writing. Working on this project I was always asking Steven how I can approve. I probably met with Steven about four times to talk about my essay. The essay is the part I had to persevere in. There where a few moments where I thought it was never going to end. The work I turned in was refined so much. We read an article called shitty first drafts and it was about just getting you words on paper. I may have taken it a little too far. But I refined my work so much, I had Steven help me and two of my friends and by brother. The work I did for this project is just a measurement of how much I have grown. At the beginning of the year I could have never be able to write something like this.
My personal growth is something that has been impacted so much by these projects. In this project I have learned that I have a big opinion of the nature vs nurture debate. And I also found that I love photography. The essay I talked about earlier is another big impact that has made me grow in this project. Through the thick and through the thin I have persevered through it all.
